Welcome on "Sign of Life" website!

        Sign of Life was founded in 2003 and it provides social assistance services to the children at risk of abandonment and to other people in need in Bucharest, Romania.
- 2005: over 9000 Romanian newborns were abandoned by their moms in maternity hospitals;
- 2006: over 1000 newborns were abandoned by their moms in maternity hospitals during the first months of the year;

- avoiding the separation between mother and child (by providing a maternal centre and a daycare centre);
- supporting mothers in need to help them keep their baby in their family;
- caring for the abandoned newborns insuring them personalized care (by providing care-takers to the hospital) and a family type living environment (by placing them in foster families).
